Precision Engineering Success

We were approached by the HSE and Facilities Manager of a local Precision Engineering Company.  They had a visit looming from a high profile client and needed to act swiftly.
The Company is a first choice vendor to a global customer base supplying safety critical parts to the nuclear, petrochemical, and more recently aerospace markets.
They are a progressive, UK award winning company supplying high integrity precision machined components, kits and precision machined assemblies to clients for over 40 years and are recognised as part of the Next Generation programme for Nuclear.

They found IRL via google where they searched for an Industrial Floor Marking Contractor and IRL came up tops.
After speaking to them they emailed us with photographs of their existing floor which needed to be revamped and a walkway re-routed. A visit was arranged to attend site in order to give the potential Client advice and costs for doing this. The works involved colour matching the works a previous contractor had done. Having a close relationship with Remmers we immediately contacted them as we knew that they had new facilities to in pail tint to the Clients requirements. Remmers were able to do this and successfully colour matched the 3 colours required, the Client was impressed!

Quotation was sent and an order successfully gained to complete the works during the one weekend that was available before the priority visit.

This project best highlights not only our skills in providing precision line marking but also the ability to prioritise our resources in order to meet the Clients deadline. This has always been our ethos and is clearly one of the reasons our Clients come back to us time after time.
In the testimonial from the Client they commented on how they did not know we had been in yet the workplace had been transformed.
We take pride in the fact that we are able to offer a comprehensive range of services and solutions throughout the Group. Every project is different but what is the same every time is IRL’s expertise and attention to detail enabling us to carry out our work to the highest possible standard with a minimum of upheaval for our clients.

The project was successfully handed over to the client complete with all the Operation and Maintenance Manuals for the longevity of the floor.

Together with Remmers we were able to offer the new Client an outstanding level of service and become their contractor of choice for any new or maintenance works.
We were able to offer:-

• A quick turnaround in order for them to showcase their facilities to their potential client.
• Completely transform the area in less than 72 hours
• Colour match existing by means of in-pail tinting
• Prepare and make good existing prior to coating
• Provided detailed cleaning and maintenance regimes
• Removed all waste back to IRL’s premises for recycling

A number of years ago as a member of FeRFA, we committed to playing our part in halving the amount of construction and packaging waste going to landfill. We pledged that we would promote the adoption and implementation of standards for good practice in reducing waste, recycling more and increasing the use of recycled and recovered materials.
We receive monthly performance statistics from our recycling partner and we are proud to say that our current level of recycling is 99.18%.

The HSE & Facilities Manager said

I cannot believe the transformation, I left site on Friday afternoon leaving a tired looking floor and returned on Monday to a transformed area. The walkway that was in the correct place had been re-routed as part of an excellent job. Apart from the new looking floor we would not have known IRL had been to site. The fact that they take all of their empty packaging away to be recycled is a massive tick in the box for us.
