Nestlé – Tutbury

IRL has had a relationship with Nestlé for over 20 years. When Nestlé was planning a production facility for a new project IRL was their contractor of choice. In addition to their expertise, Nestlé also like the fact that operatives are trained and employed by IRL and not subcontracted.

The requirement on this occasion was for IRL to supply and install food-grade floor and wall surfaces within the tight schedules required to get the new project launched.

A water-borne acrylic dispersion based paint, which is eminently suitable to the exacting hygiene specifications of the food industry, being our product of choice. It was applied using new airless spraying technology which, in conjunction with the quick drying time of the paint, minimised the access time required for a three coat finish. The floor surface we applied is a long lasting hygienic coating designed to withstand heavy forklift usage for upwards of 10 years.

Time and quality were imperative and Nestlé were, once again, delighted with IRL's performance
