INSTALLATION FOR THE FOOD INDUSTRY

Quinn Glass Bottling Plant

A 21,000 sq m commercial resin flooring system was installed by the IRL Group for Quinn Glass at their new bottling plant in Cheshire. IRL were chosen because of their experience with previous projects for businesses of this nature and the level of technical expertise they were able to bring to the project.

The floor was prepared using a water based epoxy primer, followed by a heavy duty water based polyurethane resin flooring system to a depth of 6mm and coloured to the client’s specification. The surface is extremely durable, can withstand regular high pressure steam cleaning, is resistant to slip and is easy to maintain.

The resin flooring screed installation was completed within a 6 week timescale. Quinn Glass are highly delighted with the system design finishes and with IRL’s ability to operate within a time critical schedule, delivering a top quality finished product which is also probably the largest seamless polyurethane resin screed single floor area of its type in Europe.

Polymer screeds can be used as Underlay Systems where falls in the toppings are required.
