IRL has worked directly for Dunlop Aerospace for over 20 years and we are pleased to report on our most recent project for this organisation:
New Production Facility for Dunlop Aerospace Shepshed
Building 10 is a new production facility with a 4,500m concrete floor requiring a finish which would withstand heavy forklift traffic.
The floor was prepared by a suitable combination of dust free vacuum shot blasting, with its own lorry mounted independent 3 phase power supply, diamond grinding and STR light mechanical abrading, containing all dust and debris in sealed containers.
An epoxy resin primer was applied to the prepared substrate prior to the application, by roller and brush, of two coats of a solvent free, high build epoxy resin with a fine grade non-slip pigmented system giving a total dry film thickness of 500 microns. On completion expansion joints and bay joints were installed.
