NATIONAL TRAINING SUCCESS
Ian Mellor of The IRL Group Ltd has become one of the few in the UK to qualify as an Assessor for the NVQ Level 2 in Insitu Resin Flooring via the CITB Magenta Scheme. Ian has worked for IRL for nearly 15 years first joining the team as a sealant applicator and then training as a floor screeder, quickly progressing to become Chief Supervisor for the Flooring Division and is now currently our UK Contracts Manager which has provided the ideal background for his new role as an Assessor for IRL. Ian has just gained success in training two of our Operatives Adrian Brailsford and Jason Warren through their NVQ's both employees recently received their award at the FeRFA Awards Ceremony. FeRFA endorses the CSCS scheme and in conjunction with the CITB has been instrumental in the development and introduction of the NVQ Level 2 for its specialist sector and has set up a network of assessors. Members of FeRFA receive full support and advice on all aspects of training, including supplementary grant assistance. Members are kept regularly updated on training matters and FeRFA organises courses to assist in the assessment process. Our first two FeRFA apprentices Chris Jones and Andy Davies also received their NVQ 2 Certificate. Stewart Jones, Managing Director of IRL said "We are very proud of what our employees have achieved, and they will be soon joined by more candidates who are also going through their NVQ 2. Well done to all".
